A vintage birthday

Hello everybody I do hope you are well and keeping warm I have another card for you that my MiL asked me to make it's for her aunty who is 84 this month (I hate white edges) anyway she said she wanted a nice card but nothing to OTT well I tried
here it is

As you will notice I have used the gorgeous rose papers I used in my Eliza card but the top small piece is just a plain piece of paper and used the overlay of the roses they are all freebies from side bar

this was the sketch I used for layout

now I must warn you there are a few pics but there is so much detail on this card

so I matted the papers onto gold mirri after inking the edges with TH fire brick (I hate white edges)#then I got burgundy ribbon from stash and cut 2 lengths one for bottom to which I added the sentiment then I got red gems and glued them along one on each end of sentiment then all the way to the end
for the top one I wanted to add lace as it looks like lace on the sketch so hunting through my stash I came across this one with the flower pattern I have never used it it was still wrapped up (shocking)
I then added the topper which has been matted onto red card and gold mirri card

now for the embellishment I first cut a circle of card then set making some of the flowers and bead sprays

I coloured the pins with a cardinal red pro marker as they were white the gold ones are the original colour

then with craft wire I took a few lengths added red and gold glass beads to the ends twisted then joined them together to make a small spray added a couple of these oh forgot to mention the feathers some of the flowers are shop brought then I put it all together on an 8x8" card

So there you have it not to OTT  is it?????I did stop myself from doing any more honest hope you like it I hope my MiL likes it too but mostly I hope her aunty likes it  see you later  thanks for popping over and leaving your wonderful comments
